August 15, 2022 - Same note as 2015:
Very dark and opaque. Quite aromatic, with dark fruits, tar, earth, smoky oak, already complex. Full-bodied flavors but extremely smooth. It's 14.6% alcohol but not at all hot, not at all astringent from the tannins. Plenty of dark fruit flavors, doesn't come across as heavy, but beautifully balanced. Perfectly ready, may last several more years, but no reason to wait.

April 19, 2020 - This wine definitely improved since my first sip in 2013. A very good wine in a bad vintage.
February 21, 2020 - Black cherry, licorice, and pepper.
June 3, 2019 - Booker wines continue to disappoint, especially given the price point. Black cherry liqueur, red flavors and a hint of blueberry on the nose. Heavy dose of heat both on the nose and palate gives it a somewhat medicinal character. Big and round makes it great for bbq or anything grilled and smokey. Not a lot of dimension to this one, and not sure it improves(!) from here.
December 30, 2018 - Dark ruby. Muted nose. Black cherries, red fruits. Smooth and silky with medium length finish.
July 11, 2018 - As is characteristic of the vintage, this was higher toned than one would typical expect from the winery with almost crunchy black and red fruits and fresh acidity. All that was good, but there was a clear lack of depth (and bass notes) to help anchor the the palate and provide balance for all that freshness. In that regard it drank more like a high test young Bojo, though unlike Bojo it got boring pretty quickly. Last of my Bookers.
March 15, 2018 - Robust blend of Syrah 38%, Counoise 23%, Mourvedre 20%, and Grenache 19%.
January 6, 2018 - I was impressed with this wine's depth and balance. Smoky blue and black fruit, plum notes in particular, along with herbs and a touch of anise. I didn't detect any heat.
December 1, 2017 - Excellent. Very silky and rich, Judt delicious wine.
November 21, 2017 - consistent with notes of 5/31/2014
