May 1, 2019 - (@ The Morris, SF, with Paul Einbund) A good example of how the Rostaing Condrieux are among the only that age well, frequently doing interesting things at 5+ years. This one has hit a very interesting spot, with a very subtle nose of stone fruit, beeswax and only the slightest hint of apricot (no fruit bomb like Cuilleron's Ayguets). The wine isn't noticeably hot, though labeled at 14% alcohol. In the mouth there's a hard-to-name character -- maybe toasted almonds? -- with good length and depth. I think this is unlikely to improve further and would drink up.

January 8, 2018 - Weekly tasting group RWP #271: "Older" wines (@ DJ): In the bouquet parsley, grasses, herbs and floral notes. Some stone minerals as well. Same on the palate, perfumed, low acidity and sweet impressions. Very good wine which is ready now and the next year. 90 - 91

June 3, 2015 - Really wanted to love this, but while it was very good, I was not wowed. There is a distinct note of violet (which my wife pointed out, and I agreed) that I had not noticed in other Condrieu I've had. In hindsight, I probably would have spent my $60 elsewhere.

May 31, 2014 - The wine was pale lemon in colour and offered bouquet of flowers, citrus, peach, orange peel, almond, fresh sea breeze and mineral notes on the nose. On the palate the wine showed white flowers, stone fruit, peach, orange peel and almond, supplemented by a salty mineral touch, paired with medium-level acidity, a great, buttery mouthfeel, and very good length. The medium- to full-bodied wine had good complexity and tasted concentrated yet fresh. A great Condrieu!

April 29, 2014 - One of my favourite Condrieu. Agree about the floral and stone fruit notes. Drink over the next 2-3 years.
