Well-structured red fruit and supple tannins. A nice showing for this particular bottle, and seems to be in an open drinking window. -

November 9, 2018 - Aromatics leapt from the glass - classic nebbiolo dried cherries, potpourri plus a little wet pavement. Tasty if just a bit short. Perfectly ready to go, can't imagine this has further development, but probably at a happy plateau for the next several years.

December 18, 2016 - Coravined, and glad I did rather than pull the cork. Wonderfully complex nose, but there is still a wall of tannin that I believe will subside with time. I think there is easily another decade to go in this bottle, though it is showing tasty secondary and tertiary notes of dead leaves/underbrush, dried flowers, potpourri etc. I might check in on it in a few years. Perhaps it just needed a long decant which I didn't give it.

September 8, 2016 - Performances from the Summer of 2016: Eh, very impressed that it was still a tannic monster and had Barolo flavor and aromatic characteristics. Nevertheless, it just didn’t appeal – too much tar and not enough cherry. More time?
