February 11, 2024 - Huge nose of strawberries jam, loads of roasted BBQ angus beef, herbes de Provence… Very delicious integrated tannin, BBQ meat expressi, ripe strawberries, lenght of 45 sec!!
January 7, 2024 - Flawed - poured brown, smelled and tasted oxidized. Decanted to be sure but knew immediately it was bad. No change with air. Have another bottle, hope it turns out better but given the shared provenance I'm not optimistic.
December 30, 2023 - Lyon Holiday Open House (Where Else?): This was a great old bottle! Last tried this 17 years ago! Here's that one:
3/17/2006 rated 90 points: Purple to the rim and a grapey, primary nose with some underbrush notes that I ascribe to grenache (and I like it!). Good depth and more integrated than the basic '03 Paul Autard. Wait at least 6 mos. (4795 views)
No surprise that it's the lightest wine of the night with a garnet bowl and a nearly clear meniscus. It's beautifully evolved with Kirsch, garrigue, underbrush, kelp and leather all sitting on a very nice structure. Well stored, this can go another 5 years if you like "old" wine/tertiary notes.
April 9, 2022 - A bit more balanced and complex than a couple of years ago, but nevertheless jammy and alcoholic.

July 11, 2021 - Popped and poured. Good but not great. Past peak. Cloudy and unsettled. Still a fair bit of fruit, but clearly fading. Drink up!

December 17, 2018 - Wine is continuing to drink great imo, but I do like older CDP. Very slight bricking on the edge dried beef, currant with a hint of pepper in the finish.
May 26, 2018 - An easy afternoon with close friends (@ PdV): Concentrated color with clear brown impressions. In the bouquet a mature wine with chocolate and soy. On the palate a lot of chocolate, raisins, soy and tea. Overall a very mature, but still beautiful wine wit still enough power to be pleasant. Don't wait much longer! The wine is at its peak now or even a bit past it. Hurry!
December 29, 2017 - Shame. It's too late to consume. It had been at the end of its life. Brown in color. Nose of mushroom, earthy and meaty. No fruit left like vinegar and soy sauce. Not enjoyable. I just got this bottle from Holand last month, maybe storage problem from last owner?
