Community Tasting Notes 5

January 15, 2021 - It needed an hour to fill out, and then it was stunning. Silky and edgy, it has bright red fruits, tobacco, leather and earth. There’s a faint suggestion of tannins and it finishes with great cut. Could the 11s finally be starting to come around?

November 19, 2017 - I love all of Kelley Foxes pinots. Though the Maresh is my favorite, the Mirabai is great as well.

December 30, 2015 - Straightforward Oregon Pinot. Tart cherry and cranberry fruit, medium body, opens up nicely after a couple of hours. Next day was completely different as dark cherry fruit came through and more earth undertones appeared. Drinking a little young right now.

April 16, 2015 - Medium ruby. Nose has riper, delicious sweet red fruit with herb, pine and stem notes. Palate is approachable with light-to-medium bodied fresh red fruits. A simple and easy drinking wine right now.

April 16, 2015 - Part of 2011 Oregon Pinot Noir tasting.
I would have liked this better if the wood treatment were less.
    - Nose of wood notes, smoke and cherry
    - On the palate smokey, wood, dark cherry, velvety tannins, savory earth note.
