November 9, 2015 - Medium body. Smoky cherry nose. Dark cherry flavor. A bit cough syrupy. Good acidity. Maybe balances out in time??
October 12, 2015 - Very fruity yet quite complex . Still can wait another year or two before peaking.
February 14, 2015 - Some barnyard funk and petrol in the bouquet alongside rose petals. Not much depth, but the palate has some nice, sweet cherries, plums and rosemary notes that carry through to the finish. Last bottle of this vintage.
December 21, 2014 - Very good with lots of potential, but needs some time.
November 26, 2014 - This drinking well right now, with some air. Not a big pinot, but the texture and style is appealing.
July 5, 2014 - Disappointing, frankly -- especially given its $30 tariff. Light on its feet with a pesky burning-tires aroma that carries through onto the palate. Some berries and roses, with a medium body and welcome acidity that lightened up the grilled salmon. Color and legs are deep and substantial. However, this never came together for us, even with air over the course of a 90-minute dinner.
April 8, 2014 - A young pinot drinking well with enough air. 91+
March 15, 2014 - Medium clear ruby appearance. Underbrush-earth, anise, black raspberry and allspice aromas- medium intensity. Ripe dark cherry and raspberry fruit on the palate with subtle dark spice and earthy mineral notes. The flavors are more blurred than layered. Acidity is medium, fine smooth grainy tannins. Medium finish highlighting sweet red fruit and spice. Between bold and elegant- but not really hitting either end of the spectrum.
