January 25, 2024 - Continues to drink beautifully with delicious sour cherry, rhubarb, and minerality on the expressive nose and maturing palate with delicious acidity on the long finish.

September 1, 2023 - I didn’t get the big, Shrader style that others did. This was burgundy style California pinot to me. Still kicking in 2023, with olive as a dominant flavor, and underlying red fruit, particularly sour cherry. Definitely tasted like a fort Ross/sea view area wine. Very good, and while the fruit is not as primary as it once was, it was still prevalent and quite tasty. Drink now, with time to spare.

August 10, 2023 - This bottle assuaged any doubt that larger formats age better, as I served this Jeroboam at a gathering of former colleagues that included several discriminating wine drinkers -- and it got rave reviews. Decanted and given an hour of time to breathe, it was very fresh with fruit well balanced by its acidity. The sweet cherry and cranberry tones were prominent, but we didn't find it to be uncharacteristically bold for the varietal. Those that commented were well satisfied with where this wonderful pinot was in its development.

July 8, 2022 - This one is losing steam. Hopefully my remaining bottles have more life than this one. It’s drinkable and fine but not great.

July 3, 2021 - Served with paella and was a great compliment. No tannins just a smooth and complex taste.

Probably needs to be consumed in the next couple of years.

February 19, 2021 - Friday Night Brown Bagger (Eagle Brook Country Club): Double blind. Light ruby red color, shows perhaps a bit of age. Cherry and rhubarb dominate, with red plum and earthy undertones. Cherry and rhubarb fruit on the palate. Finishes with good length. Guessed Sonoma pinot. Drink now. 91-92 pts. (R&R)

November 26, 2020 - Coravin pour on Thanksgiving day. This is a bold wine. It has the spice/green pepper notes that makes me like certain Pinots. Probably too much for some, not remarkable for me, but glad I enjoyed it.
