October 21, 2023 - Classic savoury claret, with notes of graphite, minerals, leather and spice. There is a slight Bretty/gamey note but the chewy tannins simply melt away to reveal cocoa on a very long finish. Beautifully balanced with a fine structure. From previous bottles my expectations were low but this has really improved with age. Superb. CHP 92 pts

July 19, 2023 - Classic, mature claret. Drinking well, thinning on the finish but aged notes emerging. Brick red rim, starting to dry, but lovely lingering flavours. Keeping my last one for fans of older wines.

August 1, 2021 - On top now. Smooth , integrated tannins, blackcurrant on the nose + palate - medium long finish. Very nice and really good qpr. Good performance In a difficult and hot vintage.

September 6, 2020 - 18 months since I last had this and it is holding well. Mellow claret, red fruits starting to show some secondary character but lots of time left. Holding well.

Drinking really well at the moment, some tannins but well balanced with the fruit. Will plan on drinking the rest over the coming couple years, as it's in a great place now.

January 13, 2019 - First bottle from a case and I’m glad I didn’t believe many of the notes on this. Far from being near the end of its life this is just entering its plateau of maturity. Deep garnet colour, only a hint of fade at the rim. Nose has graphite, menthol, red fruits, and herbs, almost Italian in profile. To taste, classic juicy youthful claret. Soft and ripe and with some tannin on the back end, lacking a little grip, but nice, easy and approachable mid weight claret. This should improve for another 5 years and last ten before the fruit fades on this showing. Good drinking now.
