May 20, 2016 - Geek night with Alex and Tim et al. (The Presidio, SF): (blind - Tim’s 1st wine)
A touch of color indicating varietal, botrytis, or aging.
    Neutral nose with some development.
Dry on the palate, with slight bitterness, elevated acid (slightly malic), and a douch of lees. It has a hint of salinity - like Dutch salted liquorice. And it’s quite developed on the palate.

Despite the acid not being so aggressive, this is so light and neutral… maybe Muscadet?

January 22, 2015 - (Mostly) Northern Rhone Night (Browntrout - Chicago, IL): While many 1999s are drinking well right now, there's really no rush. Loved the salty, cool expression in this wine...and if the oysters were better at the restaurant, we would have ordered those. Yum.

January 22, 2015 - Geeky Syrah Night at Browntrout (Chicago, IL): There was a slight bit of banana on the nose at first. I found that a bit offputting. But that aired out and we were all good. The palate on this bottle was very light from the acidity and mineral qualities, but the rich texture gives this a lot of weight at the same time. Slightly oily texture and a bit sweet, this had a good balance of everything.

September 5, 2014 - oh crap, i rated the wrong chateau. obviously a rookie. not a troll! sorry people, it was another 1999 muscadet i hated. i'm sure this one is ambrosial.

September 5, 2014 - I am pretty sure this tasted like an 85-15 blend of sauv blanc and saliva. IT was very slightly better after 24 hours of oxidization.
