July 18, 2020 - Past it’s prime by a bit; lost most of its flavor.
May 25, 2020 - Deep ruby, earthy, cedar nose.
Medium tannin & finish.
Primary flavours gone, some biscuit, maybe leather.
Still quite enjoyable.
Obviously miscounted and 2 further bottles left in the cellar, need drinking up by the end of the year.
November 9, 2019 - Penultimate bottle.
Still drinking well, maybe flattening out a bit, but enjoyable nevertheless.
March 10, 2019 - This is actually still drinking quite well.
Forgot I had a few bottles left in the cellar. Medium/full bodied. Probably still got a year or two left in it.
May 18, 2018 - No formal notes. Good quality, moderate rich, balanced dark red fruit, earth, integrated tannin. Ready to go.
July 3, 2016 - 90-91.
No formal notes. Good CDP producer = Good CDR. Paired well with smoked ribs.
January 15, 2016 - This deep-to-opaque ruby wine was Vinturi-decanted and serially sampled over the ensuing three hours. Laden with black cherry, ripe bramble fruit, smoked meat and loamy earth, it delivers its medium-bodied payload with fresh acidity, medium ripe tannins and seamless alcohol (13%). The middle palate is nicely dense and the smooth finish is medium in length. This excellent producer has crafted a wine that drinks impressively above its bloodline. Drink now-2021.
January 3, 2016 - - Ruby color with medium forming legs. It's somewhat balanced with a medium/full body. Polished texture with a medium finish - A fine Cote du Rhone Villages. Not spectacular, but good. As with most wines, and my reviews, context matters. It excels with proper parings, and doesn't work with poor pairings.
September 9, 2015 - Fairly good cote de Rhone villages. Thought fruit a bit lacking, but pleasant enough.
August 26, 2015 - A little riper and rounder than I prefer. A little hot as well.
