April 17, 2019 - Refreshing, bright, barely off-dry, food friendly, and just barely starting to develop some aged complexity, this is still on the young side. For about $20 it's a great value, and an pleasing dinner companion.

I recently had the 2011 version, which was a little fleshier, and notably sweeter (but also still very young). This one hits all the right notes for the more classically style 2012 vintage.

August 1, 2018 - Laser focused. This drier introductory Donnhoff is so versatile. And a QPR champ given where some other dry Austrian or GG versions from Germany Rieslings of similar construction can be priced. Drawn taunt, it's lean and bright, showing no signs of age. Served against Indian food, but it has lots of potential pairings. Good showing.

September 15, 2017 - Looks like the label has changed in 2016 to black, this 2012 has the old light beige label. Lightly petrol nose, nice intensity, adequate acidity, touch of sweetness, with a hint of tartness for balance and some decent minerality creeping in on the finish. Quality wine at it's price point. Oh, and this will easily last another decade. And love the screwcap.

May 24, 2017 - A very enjoyable Riesling. No formal notes.

April 27, 2017 - A: Tart apples, white peaches, apricots, minerals. P: Electric crunchy fruit, lots of minerals, great acids. . Nice finish of minerals, grapefruit pith and herbs. Lacks a bit of complexity and depth but really enjoyable nonetheless.
