June 7, 2020 - I was very disappointed in early bottle of this wine and just sort of used them up for a while. This is the second to last bottle and was very good.....on the deep/dark end of the PN scale. I is also now worth the price point. I had 2020 down as the last year of drink window for this one......however, it will likely hang on for a while longer.

    October 29, 2019 - 12.1% abv. Recent auction purchase.
Acid-driven, lighter style of Pinot, but with plenty of flavor. Tart, with citrus and cherry, perhaps rhubarb. I appreciate this style and enjoyed it very much - those who prefer a richer style will probably not find this very compelling.

October 20, 2018 - reddish maroon clear. Powerful mint and pine sap along with subtle damp earth aromas. Sweet herbal flavors weave in and out of ripe but tart cherry and blood orange as the finish lingers on and on. great stuff here and in peak form

November 23, 2014 - Nice red fruit and a compote of sour red cherry and crushed red raspberries. Definite minerality lurking underneath. Nice spice presence with cinnamon and other baking spices. A little coy and restrained overall but will certainly develop a bit more over time.

November 5, 2014 - 12.1% abv. I expected fragrant burgundian style pinot from cool climate. It did deliver exactly what i expected, and a lot more than that.

Deep brick color, dark at the core but bright red at the lim. Intense and complex floral nose: rose petal, bundle of red fruits, smoked meat, and slight hint of exotic spices (ginger and cinamon). Palate is concentrated but pure: burgundian bright red fruits plus rocky transparent mineral volume that reminded me somehow of best rousillons, without being rustic or leafy. Limy citrus scent and acidity suggests it has space to improve further over age. Would easily pass for better nuits premier crus. 92-93.

December 24, 2013 - Disappointing.....thought I was going to get more with this. Might be a little young, but did not seem there was much coming down the road. "Thin" taste. Little fruit. Did not improve after a couple of hours.....nor on the second night. Perhaps a bad bottle. Will let this sit for a while before trying another bottle.

April 2, 2013 - Straightforward, juicy, good depth of red fruit. Purple-red color, showing its youth. Easy to quaff. Good balance - no candied sweetness or noticeable alcohol on the finish, which are real turn-offs for me.
