June 21, 2014 - Saturday Tasting at The Gourmet Shop Columbia, SC 6/21/2014 (Gourmet Shop Columbia SC): It's been a while since I have tried this somewhat unusual Australian blend. My first impression was how much the minority percentage of Marsanne influenced the flavor. There is an almond, or some other type of nutty flavor that could never have come from Viognier. They did a nice job of maintaining a crisp acidity from lips to finish. Has the elevated viscosity typical of Viognier, with a Sauvignon Blanc style acidity.
