June 30, 2016 - Decanted for one hour; no sediment. Beautiful clear ruby red to the rim. Pleasing nose of blackberries. Medium-to-full bodied jammy dark fruit on the palate with bracing acids and significant tannins. Lengthy finish with a bit of heat. Will probably improve further with a few more years of age.

As far as I can tell, this is an overwrought fruit bomb, masking any signs of any terroir from either Santa Barbara or the Southern Rhone. Who thought this was a good idea? Now I need to figure out how to give away the remainder of the case.
