May 5, 2020 - funky feral reduction - loads of dense ripe fruit and a strong line of brilliant acid. Dusty tannin. Man. So big. No savoryness - was expecting more rusticity in the vintage but man. Really bold powerful wine.

March 7, 2020 - La Paulée de New York Gala Dinner (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. I haven't had this wine in many years, and it thrilled me tonight. Big and brawny, with the structure just behind the fruit, spice, leather and slowly cooked mushroom. Everything is perfect proportion.

January 19, 2020 - Initially a bit awkward but developed wonderfully in the glass. Great and complex nose, good stuffing, length. Power reserve.

September 7, 2019 - I'm a fan of this vintage, and today's bottle was excellent. Loved it.

June 7, 2018 - World's Greatest, Hong Kong - Night I (Bo Innovation): This nose is highly expressive and has a slightly more rustic interpretation of red cherry and has more earth. This is the cleanest example of the '88 I have had and it is still quite earth influenced. Teas and mild spice. Very pretty. Palate has darker fruit and teas. This Rousseau Chambertin flight is excellent and very consistent.
