December 18, 2020 - Feminine but structured. Pretty nose

July 7, 2019 - Clear ruby. Leaning more towards black fruits. High tannins. Balanced, and surprisingly approachable but so much structure currently. There is a hint of meat too. For my tastes, give this 5+ years for the tannins to settle and some development to happen. Shared by SH at Kingyu. Drink 2021 onwards (with air) but ideally 2025-2035+

    January 19, 2019 - Belle Cote-Rotie classique.
    Pomme grenade, olive, thé.
    Bel équilibre et finesse.
    Excellent!

92 pts

May 15, 2017 - Appearance: Bright and clear, it is deep ruby in color, with purplish rim and legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity aromas of black fruit of plum and blackberry, floral notes of violet, herbal notes of tea, maturity notes of savory, animal notes of meaty, pungent spice of pepper. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with medium acidity, medium (+) tannin of ripe and velvety texture, the wine has medium alcohol, full body and medium (+) intensity flavors of black fruit of plum and blackberry, red fruit of raspberry, oak notes of toast, kernel notes of milk chocolate. The wine has a medium (+) finish.
Conclusion: Very good quality Cote-Rotie with good intensity on the nose, showing decent complexity, the wine is robust and structured, with good balance on the acidity and tannin, showing good concentration and a fairly long finish. It is ready to drink now though can benefit from further ageing of another 3-5 years.
