March 1, 2015 - A really good domestic rhone white blend. Got better with a little air and time.

November 3, 2014 - Best American white I've had in a long time. One would mistake this for a Kistler that was made in a softer and funkier style. Bright yellow colour, despite being only three years old is a hint at the complexity to come. It has Batard-like burnt nose followed by flavours of orange peel and baking spices. Tannins medium, which suits the wine well at this stage. A nice 30 second finish rounds it off. I find the red offerings from Sanguis to be a little hit and miss but I cannot see how a properly stored bottle of this wine would disappoint anyone.

November 2, 2014 - Impulse purchase upon seeing the bottle (literally just seeing it; this stuff doesn't get anywhere close to Maine) at AZ wine co. Been picking at it for a few hours tonight; trying to hold it up to the cult expectations and high admission fee, but to no avail. There's no lightning in this bottle.

Varietal characteristics line up mostly with the roussane, and are nice. Peach/apricot, honey, almond, some bitterness. Starts sweet, and quickly swings over to raw in a way that's not at all integrated. Some spice on the medium finish.

It's a good wine, but feels like I'm drinking more of the label. Revisiting the second half of the bottle tmw in case a little air helps it along some.

June 15, 2014 - Again Sanguis comes through, very elegant nose with a supple mouthfeel and long finish. Really enjoyable. Likely has some years left

November 16, 2013 - Really nice mouthfeel...rich without being heavy. A touch of oak on the palate. Think this has some upside with bottle time.

September 26, 2013 - This wine was fantastic. Had this after having a bottle of Kistler Vine Hill Vineyard and all four who had both agreed this was the superior wine.
