December 14, 2019 - Medium to dark red; black pepper, dark fruit; rounded, intense, deep, black cherries, some sweetness, a bit abrupt slightly acidic ending but otherwise really nice

September 23, 2018 - Nice smooth Saint Joseph. Juicy wine with good oak, concentrated red chewy and ripe fruits, some complexity and chocolate sweet finish

December 30, 2017 - Popped and poured. This is a medium-purple wine with no sediment anywhere in the bottle. On the nose, I get olive, pepper, smoke, gravel, and leather. In the mouth, this is savory, with elements of subtle black fruit, tar, and structured acid, all of which combines for the lingering finish. Overall, this is a very good wine, one that is like a spice rack of potential flavors and flavor combinations with food. That said, this is for fans of meaty wines rather than fruity wines. This was a tremendous value at $59/bottle. 93 points.

April 2, 2016 - I very much enjoyed this wine. PNP and thru Vinturi to a Riedel Syrah stem. Significant but pleasant and intriguing barnyard and horse saddle on the nose. Took about 1 hour to dissipate. Deep dark ruby in color. Mouth enveloping tastes of blackberry, oregano, black pepper, and dried dark fruit. Well integrated tannin. Paired fabulously with a roasted garlic rubbed dry aged Porterhouse. Great St Joseph without breaking the bank !

November 21, 2014 - Dark red; fresh fruity nose; nice soft silky attack, lots of fruit, very smooth and drinkable, bit of chocolate; very nice, straightforward, little complexity
