October 25, 2020 - Went perfectly with my steak supper, previous bottles been a bit too heavy however, when paired with food was delightful.
September 1, 2018 - This bottle was opened after a bad Ch. de Pape, and this wine deliver very well. Actually the wine has benefitted of cellaring, even it's time to drink up. This is a wine my mother in Law really likes, and Works very well as a housewine. 86-87
October 19, 2017 - The bottle is empty very quickly. Nice wine in other words. This had a lot more energy and flavour a year ago though. Time to drink up! 86-87 points.
December 14, 2016 - Vibrant sea-coast nose. Flavours of black fruits with a touch of prunes. Smooth, easy-to-drink and enjoyable.
May 31, 2016 - Fresh swirling wild Rhone nose, soft and diffuse to drink, with black fruits and smoke on the finish. Very well-made wine with personality but, for me, it lacks the weight and/or concentration needed for a higher score.
December 6, 2014 - Ripe black and red fruits with some smoke and earth on both nose and palate. Easy drinking but with some character to make it interesting. Good QPR. Went down very easily with a traditional christmas dinner.
September 12, 2014 - see my previous TN
September 3, 2014 - Rhone valley wine (at Hugo's): Dark transparent purple
Nose of blackberry fruit with smoky, liquorice and vanilla oak notes.
Moderate bodied, dark fruits, fine tannins, good acidity level, smoky & liquorice flavours, very long aftertaste.
February 1, 2014 - Great CdR, ripe fruits, medium+ bodied. Good length. Better than many ChateauneufdP! Will buy more, as this is a truly great qpr.
December 7, 2013 - Big, bold and quite fruity with plenty of red fruits, vanilla and smoke on both nose and palate. Obvious but integrating tannins. Easy drinking and 2 magnums were emptied quite quickly.
