March 8, 2019 - Some Wine Tasted at the Zachys La Paulée Auction; 3/7/2019-3/8/2019 (Le Bernardin Prive - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. Was this 1992? Or 1993? Answer was obvious to me. Elegant and nicely styled with medium weight. Very easy to enjoy.

April 5, 2018 - I wasn't expecting great things of this wine from this particular year and suspected that at 26 years of age it had seen better days. Far from it. The nose is delicate, but expressive and on the medium palate there is an enticing Vosne spiciness with complexity harnessed to some very attractive juicy acidity. High-toned and silky. Lovely fruit, good focus, and reasonable length too that I wasn't particularly expecting. All in all a rather delicious wine that has retained a degree of freshness and shows that scores aren't everything. I will remember this wine for a long time as at the price this weighs in at I suspect I won't ever be having it again! This is not going to be gaining much by being kept and would suggest drinking up sooner rather than later.

March 3, 2018 - La Paulée de San Francisco - Gala Dinner (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): From magnum. Late night, small glass, brief note. Surprisingly sweet start given the vintage. Good+ weight and finesse. Very good length, just a slightly tart finish.

March 3, 2018 - La Paulée de SF Gala Dinner (Fairmont Hotel, SF CA): From magnum. Very good sweetness and richness with Vosne spice. Surely benefited from large format.
