February 1, 2024 - Vineyard adjacent to the legendary Les Amoureuses in Chambolle Musigny.

Medium Ruby Red with 95% pink and 5% orange rim, slightly cloudy. Perfume nose. Medium toasted barrel, flowers, unripe red fruits, redcurrant, raspberry, cherry, strawberry, hawthorn, dried tobacco leaves, hint of soil, macadamia nuts, cedar and spices. Medium bodied, medium-high to high acidity, medium-high tannin, medium structure, medium alcohol and very long finish. Complex and elegant. Fresh and seductive. Breathed for 1 hour. Some tartaric acid residue at the end.

Wine was still youth and not much tertiary aromas yet, as evidenced by the 95% pink rim even after 13 years. This bottle was a connoisseur's wine, and not a crowd pleaser due to the higher acidity and freshness. 93+ pts.

October 14, 2017 - Unlike the 2014 and 2015 which I liked a lot, this one showed quite acidic and green. I guess the sub par 2011 vintage cannot fully hide.

November 8, 2015 - Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy/Champagne Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. Leaner styled red fruit with moderate structure. Best to drink on the younger side. Like in most vintages I prefer this over the Sentiers.

November 9, 2014 - Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy/Champagne Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. Lighter styled red fruit with subtle spice and some pronounced structure. I don't think was quite as enjoyable today as I recall from the few other times I've had this wine.

April 6, 2014 - Knightsbridge 2011 Burgundy Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. Also slightly reductive, showing good red fruit and spice, forward and enjoyable, even if slightly simple. Still, good today.
