June 23, 2019 - Perhaps the last bottle that I drink I’ve gone bad but this one was much better and had all the Velvety smoothness of CDP. Did another Verticle with the 2013. Both delicious.

March 2, 2019 - Complex and fresh bouquet of minty blue berries, floral overtones, toasted cumin and star anise, thyme and sweet grilled fennel. Palate echoed the nose, elegant but with some chalky tannins in the mid-palate to finish which is a touch hot. Medium bodied. Need at least 2 hrs of decanting for the tannins to soften. Can keep for a few more years for better integration of the tannins.

June 22, 2018 - Célestière's 2011 Tradition is a medium-to-deep ruby blend of 55% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre and 15% Cinsault. Offering aromas and flavors of red bramble fruits, tobacco, garrigue, black tea and leather, it is a medium-bodied, fresh Châteauneuf with soft tannins and no rough edges. Despite its hefty 15.47% alcohol, it throws no heat when served at the appropriate temperature. Nicely dense on the mid-palate and finishing with good length, this is one that was previously misjudged by the pundits. At this point it is developing tertiary characteristics, which should make things interesting over the next 3-4 years. Drink now-2022.
