November 29, 2016 - Bright cherry red. Bright red fruits on the nose with a concealed hint of earth and humus. Brisk verging on harsh acidity masks the palate, pomegranate, mulberry, minerality and a quite unusual honeyed flavour (taking abeille a bit too literally?) After 4 hours damp earth and a very strong mushroominess.
This really doesn't seem typical of Gevrey or pinot, but reminded me more of a very young Moulin-a-Vent. Think I'll be waiting at least 10 years to try bottle number 2?
