Community Tasting Notes 5

April 25, 2012 - Last bottle... drinking really nicely, more full/rich than a year ago.

June 6, 2011 - Dark brick but bright. Lovely sweet scent of ripe raspberries with a faint mineral tinge. One dominant, lovely, haunting note here. Lust entry of sweet black & red raspberry with a lovely oak element that lifts the tannins & glides into a juicy finish. This is a perfect sipping wine!

November 8, 2009 - In line with the previous reviews, specifically where it pertains to fruit driven and balanced.Lovely strawberry notes. The wine has matured from those reviews and is becoming more 'rounded' where additional aromas a longer finish and tastes explosions are delivered. This wine will deliver pleasure from now until at least 2018 with it peaking in five years or so. A true quality Rusden wine that delivers the value and care inserted by a meticulous wine maker and perfect fruit.

August 20, 2008 - Very fruity with low acidity. Strawberry fruit leather and slightly candyish, but balanced and not overdone.

February 2, 2008 - Decanted for 1 hour. This wine exhibited a garnet/dark garnet color. On the nose, aromas of rich, ripe cherries, raspberries and strawberries were joined by notes of red licorice. On the palate, flavors of cherries, raspberries, strawberries and red plums were met with hints of spice and earthiness. Beautiful texture in the mouth with silky tannins and a nice, lengthy finish. Good natural acidity with plenty of fruit but nothing over the top. Balance was the name of the game in this wine. HS92
