November 26, 2023 - Light medium gold color. PNP, drank a couple glasses overc3 hours. Creme brulee, pear, saline, dry stones, hints of lemon, melding oak, cedar dust nose. The palate is full bodied, creme brulee, lemon, wax, a hint of vanilla bean, brine, sour apple, medium finish. Best at room temp.

November 29, 2021 - My last bottle, and this is still going strong. No alcohol noticed. There was some great butterscotch, still plenty of acid. Rich and luscious.

April 3, 2021 - Medium gold color. Drank a glass plus over 90 minutes. Ripe pear, bold nose, creme brulee, Meyer lemon, floral, vanilla, oak. The palate is rich and full bodied, viscous, ripe pear, a little tropical note, vanillin, toasted oak barrels, long finish. This is all about texture and depth, big and full, still nuanced enough with plenty of oak; classic California ripeness. Still in great shape.

January 29, 2020 - Mini Wednesday Wine Lunch (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Medium gold color. Drank a glass plus over an hour. This has a brilliant nose of honey and golden fruits, nutty abd a little caramel and toffee, melon and lemon with a hint of tropical fruit. The palate is oh so creamy, creme brulee, almond, melon, lemon, and a little pineapple, lively with a hint of toffee. The oak is melded to complement well at this point. No worries over the short term at all. I think the '10 SVD's have a safe couple years yet. Outstanding with butter poached lobster.

March 9, 2019 - Light medium golden color. PNP, split bottle over 3 hours. Split might be a little generous, as my wife couldn't keep her hands off this. This really was a stunning bottle - better than any before by a good margin. The oak has melded so nicely into this as a perfect accent of complexity. The nose is explosive; a vibrant burst of pear, lemon, and apple creme brulee, and flint. The palate is crisp with energy and depth; layered with beautiful fruit, a mix of lemon and pear with still tart green apple, creamy texture, full bodied but not weighty, matchstick, and surprising minerality. This has great tension and it goes on and on. Fantastic bottle.
