December 18, 2022 - Under screwcap, as fresh and tight as it looked on release. Lovely struck match character, very minerally. White peach, talc, green apple. Very strong acidity. Strikes a nice harmony with the creamy buttermilk edge in the background. Beautiful length. Really well done. Nice value

Christopheroz Does not like this wine:
July 10, 2021 - A touch of honeyed age, in both colour and palate. Clean. But otherwise this wine had no flavour at all, and negligible nose. It wasn’t bad, it wasn’t off, it just tasted of nothing. I thought I had covid, but independent checks showed I could still otherwise taste and smell.
The almost complete lack of development of a 9 year old wine makes me wonder about long term cellaring under Stelvin. It certainly stops taint, but will it also stop or massively slow development, or make that development quite different?2 people found this helpful Comments (1) -

August 8, 2020 - Toasty nose. Touch of spice through the palate, long finish. Lots of complexity here and think this is at peak drinking now.

January 20, 2020 - Terroir-istes International - Australia-South Australia (Overgaauw Wine Estate): Light yellow, super youthful with aromas of jasmine, orange blossom and lime and a smear of honey. There is also a hint of inner tube reduction, but this eases as the wine opens up. The palate has a vibrancy, dancing along with a blade of acidity cutting through all the fruit. While the mid-palate is a tad lacking almost lightweight the fruit has a sharpness with Oros (orange squash), oyster shell and seaweed. More frivolous than deep, the nose almost overtakes with its Sauvignon-like pungency

August 26, 2019 - Terrific wine. Mellowed out beautifully, lovely nose of lifted but subtle cedar and vanilla. Long and lovely taste. About as good as its ever going to be but holding together really well. Drink 'em if you've got 'em though - why wait?
