July 31, 2021 - This needed about 2 hours to open up. In prime, overall a solid wine that will hold for another decade plus. Lacks complexity and depth but that’s ok.

July 5, 2021 - I'm just getting into older bordeaux, and this bottle was an absolute infant. So much grip, I opened 3 hours before drinking but it could have been a day. Revisited later and the evening and was softening some. Classic nose, cedar and tobacco. Can see why this is so long lived.

June 16, 2021 - Not as enthused as many here seem to be. There seemed to be something a tiny bit off, which is why the wine is unscored. Major disappointment. Cork was fine. Lots of sediment. We've had several mature St Estephe's recently which easily out surpassed this effort.

April 21, 2021 - Pnp. Bottle not stored well. Started out impressively. Incredibly flagrant and the amazing nose persisted. The palate was initially very very elegant and almost cdp like. Beautiful with some light berry flavor.

It fell off fast though. Still, an impressive wine

    April 16, 2021 - 5th bottle of 9, last tasted 2 yrs ago.
Beautifully and fully mature St Estephe, drinking at peak, should consume by 2023 so that there is ample fruit remaining to buttress the earthy notes of wet barnyard soil, tobacco leaf, sautéed mushrooms, iron, cassis, baked plums, and on and on...
There is a great acid backbone, and the finely grained tannins are "just right" at this point.
Consume remaining bottles soon, IMHO, or risk the "drying up" of any remaining fruit.
