December 20, 2013 - Pours a medium-dark purple. Nose is like grape juice mixed with Everclear with hints of pink bubble gum.
Bold flavors of campfire, black pepper and purple fruit. The wine is middle weight, balanced with high- acidity. 14.9% alcohol is well integrated. Tannins are in check and unobtrusive. An interesting wine, but too oaky/smokey for my tastes. -

November 12, 2013 - this is a great value wine. Appreciate Russell bottling this for all to enjoy. Definitely tastes young and not nearly as intense as his HS wines

October 26, 2013 - A dark purple Syrah based wine. You won't find a better table wine at this mid teen price point. Outstanding QPR.
