December 14, 2023 - Absolutely singing. Brambles, fruit, earth, pepper, vanilla, all in perfect harmony. This wine is at its peak. Drink them now if you have them.
November 26, 2019 - A quite nice bottle. Not too too-ish. Satisfying.
July 1, 2019 - Lovely wine with a bit of tannin showing, not as large as I imagined it would be but quite balanced, smooth. It's dark fruit is still showing but little spice.
May 18, 2019 - Nose has dark fruit, a little barnyard and earthiness.
Palate is spicy and has some interesting edges. There's some nice dark fruit and a lot of spice. Just a little dirt and earth to make things interesting on the finish.
Interesting contrast with the GOK from a couple nights ago.
I like both.
April 12, 2019 - Lighter than expected, Cotes du Rhone type of weight. Nice tasty fruit, mostly cherry with some red plum and berry. Soft, low to medium tannins, for sure about peak drinking. Still some nice juicy red plum and cherry acidity, decent length. Probably would have been more impressive a few years ago.
March 30, 2019 - The 2012 is way better!
April 18, 2018 - Rather subdued. No flaws, but no strong attributes
March 2, 2018 - Well put together and drinking well, but lacking the punch I’d expect for the price. More dark and brooding than bright and lively. A sturdy wine, just not overly spunky. Maybe a point or two more if my mood aligned.
