January 10, 2016 - I had hope that letting this sit for a year or two would have helped this wine. No such luck. Bitter and stemmy. Some cherry flavors but just not a good wine. Will try again in a year but will cook with it for now. If you are going to attempt it, let it breath a bit or even dec ant.

April 20, 2014 - Much better than I expected. Popped and poured, served with friends and a homemade chicken pie. Rich, red fruits and smooth velvety finish. Nice mouthfeel for the meal. Would buy again

October 9, 2013 - Bramble and bright nose with lots af alcohol. Need to age/mature, disappointing but has promise. Tart with grassy tones. Earthy with raspberry.

September 29, 2013 - Lighter bodied meritage. The nose is loaded with fruit: bing cherry, blueberry, mint and bit of heat that blows off after an hour or so. On the palate, I get mostly cherry with a bit of plum, but what i best is the smooth mouthfeel and the well integrated tannins. Stiil, it's good, but not outstanding, though it's not a bad QPR at $17.

Solid, solid & consistent as always. Blackberry wt cinnamon & pepper. Leather on finish wt hints of vanilla. Great wine any day, but especially weekdays considering $18 price.

I get blackberries as the fruit wt a little oak. On the finish is a blend of heat & vanilla. A very nice value wine.

March 10, 2013 - Consumed over two days. Ruby colored red blend. Plum and red fruit on the nose. Well integrated tannins. Flavors of red fruit. Good balance. Medium finish. A slight hint of the pepper flavor I notice in other Alexander Valley wines. Good value. Solid, but a bit unremarkable.
