October 3, 2019 - Juicy dark berry fruit with some dark soil/meat, not so much a smoke/olive/bacon Rhone syrah here; estate's younger vines, all destemmed fruit; fine

December 30, 2017 - Clear, fresh and delicate syrah on the lighter side. Dark berries, some leather. 4 years in the cellar.

October 11, 2017 - Inky dark on the pour, but rose-tinged at the edges with a classic chemically Syrah nose. Not a blockbuster by any means, but full of character and very much worth drinking. Provides a solid QPR. Pepper, tar, smoked meat, earth. I advise at least a couple of hours in a decanter or a day of slow-ox.

June 5, 2017 - Nose is peppery, with some ripe red fruit (quince?) behind. Palate follows. Tannins are remarkable by their absence - is that typical of Cornas? Don't know. Effect is smooth, comfortable, without being tony or elegant - rustic is the word. Nice weeknight / casserole wine.

August 27, 2016 - Needs an hour or two in decanter. Not big and fancy, but extremely pleasant.

January 14, 2016 - Inky dark, lovely silky seamless red, not terribly expressive but a lovely floral dark fruit-shy syrah.

October 23, 2014 - Ten St.Joseph and a couple of Cornas - blind tasting: (Tasted blind) Vanilla toast, pond, river bottom aromas, may be barnyard - hauntingly pleasant and very peculiar! Soft mouthfeel, very pleasant. Loved this, especially the nose. (A-)

    Potentiel : 91+
