May 29, 2022 - Good to drink now. Great classic barolo expression, red fruited and perfumed, hint of truffle on the nose as well. Very enjoyable.

August 19, 2017 - Fresh bottle. The glass needed time to open up. After 40 min the wine started to open up but was still very closed. It is still a bit tannic. Good acidity. Should continue to age well. Good red fruit (cherry?) on the nose and palate. A bit of earthiness too. An hour and a half after opening, the wine was even more tannic. It definitely could use a little more aging but it has potential.

September 10, 2016 - NR as I have no notes and this was had about a week ago, but def'ly remember thinking the '99 version was much much better (I had rated that one, I had rated the '99 at 91 pts so I would guess this was 88 or 89

May 30, 2016 - This is an awesome Barolo and is ready to drink right now. We bought this at Scarpa last year and I asked the now retired wine maker, Mario, to sell us his favorite Barolo and this is what he brought us. I wish we had bought more!

(Scarpa Barolo Tettimorra) Bricking dark red violet color; appealing, maturing, dried berry, roses, dried cherry nose; tasty, complex, poised, ried cherry, raspberry palate; needs 3-4 more years; long finish
