September 16, 2012 - The wine is a fairly dark maroon color. The nose has earthy berries, pine needles, well worn leather, cherries, meat juices, black pepper, dried herbs, underbrush, and a touch of licorice. This is medium body with soft, fully integrated tannins and very nice acidity. On the palate the wine has ripe, plush berries with a nice earthy overlay and dried herbs. The finish is fairly long and very smooth. This wine has aged very gracefully. There are no rough edges or any out of balance elements on this well aged, bargain priced red from Spain.

August 14, 2012 - Visual: Dark Maroon, violet color at edges, no bricking.

Nose: Tree bark, worn cherry, slightly menthol

Palate:dark fruit, tar, mint, and leather. Long, moderately dry finish

    B/B-

May 23, 2012 - Dark ruby color. Surprised there is no bricking at this stage. Not very giving on the nose very slight menthol notes with faint pine needles. Saddle leather quickly becomes menthol then gives way to damp earth and pine needles. 15-20 second finish. Nice, not great. Unlikely to improve. Good QOR, held up well. Solid B.

April 20, 2012 - Earth-driven, savory, red fruit nose. Palate is medium bodied with earth and leathery notes. A bit one-dimensional. But well balanced and seamless. Would be a good food wine.
