May 27, 2015 - Tasting 1996 Penfolds Grange (during private dinner) (Restaurante Cuenllas - Madrid): Initially very lush on the nose with hints of pastries and aromas of dried flowers. Maybe a bit monolithic.
The palate is still plenty of travel: Fresh, properly acid and with a pleasant lingering aftertaste.
In a perfect place to start our dinner.
Inicialmente muy exuberante en nariz con matices a pastelería y a aromas de flores secas. Quizás un poco monolítico.
En boca tiene un montón de recorrido todavía: fresco, adecuadamente ácido y con un agradable y persistente postgusto.
Un champán perfecto para arrancar la cena. -
