September 3, 2022 - 10 years after Riesling tasting - 2012 - Part II (Concept Riesling, Düsseldorf): Glass: Gabriel Standard
Tasted blind. Clear, pale golden color. Nervous, reductive nose with some vegetable notes, On the palate dense, deep and spicy. Medium+ acidity, very phenolic and mineral. Beautiful tension. Long finish. 93+

May 7, 2022 - 10 years after Riesling tasting - 2012 (Restaurant Holz und Feuer, Kirchheim, Germany): Glass: Sophienwald Universal
Clear, pale golden color. Typical SF nose, that vanishes with air. Otherwise quite smoky and mineral. On the palate dry, very mineral, dense and deep. Great pressure and tension and very long. Liquid stones at its best. Still young, potential for at least 5+ years. 94+

April 23, 2022 - Honeysuckle with spring flowers, spice on the finish. Lots of minerality. Really wonderful.

February 10, 2022 - Another mature Felseneck from my cellar, pnp,
intense gun powder nose, slightly tropical fruit,
very well structured palate appearance, supporting acid with juicy, almost lush tropical fruit, limy background, mid bodied, fruit delicious to chew on,
but for me lacking some tension here, outstanding bottle, on this level it is more or less aloof criticism,
but, the purity, clean persistence, electric tension of the recently tasted 2010 I do miss a bit here, long although convincing aftertaste, ***-(****), around 92(+) potential

January 1, 2022 - Very good as always. Now a bit more golden yellow, grapefruit dominates. But 2012 isn't my vintage. Generally I think they are a bit to broad shouldered, not enough acidity. I think it has allready past its peak. Stromberg is the best 2012 from here.
