Good sipping rum for the price. This was better than last bottle. Less medicinal.
January 18, 2021 - This rum as very good blend. This as a rich nose of molasses ,creamy butterscotch and hint orange peel,sweet spice, delicious flavours .
May 23, 2020 - Dark amber colored
Ripe bananas, molasses, tropical fruit cascade
Some all spice, more bananas. Medium finish. Touch of medicinal finish which linger.
Decent sipping rum for the price. Would have scored higher if the metallic aftertaste did not reveal itself. Smooth, very mild belly burn.
Not bad at all.
May 5, 2020 - Nice woody character on the nose, not dominated by the brown sugar although the latter is certainly present. Slightly too sweet on the palate covering green notes. According to this website it only had 28.5 of the advertised 40 % abv in the related test and 39 g/L of sugar added. Won't buy again.
November 20, 2019 - Fairly deep orange gold. A very sweet, smooth nose, with milk chocolate and a hint of coffee, a faint burn on the back end. While I'm not a neat spirits drinker, this is almost palatable that way (served at room temperature in a medium-sized brandy balloon), very sweet initially but rather fiery and moderately bitter on the finish. Milky cocoa and something like tea leaves, no tropical fruits or anything like that. Gets better as it warms up. Good value but only just a sipping rum, in my opinion. April 2, 2019 - Straight single shot. Initially a magnificent rum. Mahogany colour. Pure nose on the nose with aromas of tropical garden and a too pointed alcoholic tip that also feels on the palate and that does not give complexity but persistence. Quite ordinary after all.
Servida una medida sin hielo. Inicialmente un ron magnífico. Color caoba. Pura delicia en nariz con aromas de jardín tropical y una punta alcohólica demasiado puntiaguda que también se siente en el paladar y que no da complejidad si no persistencia. Bastante ordinario.
