January 29, 2019 - The nose definitely has that black fruit like cherries or plums. Taste is black cherry.with black pepper and spice. Not much oak for me. Finish is nice The tannins are soft and this is a perfect time to drink it. Had it with a bowl of mildly spicy homemade chili and surprisingly well paired

November 6, 2013 - The nose showed black fruit, cherry, hints of oak, graphite and mint. On the palate, it was juicy with ripe black fruit and hints of pepper and spice. The intense fruit perfectly mellowed the structure of the wine, providing a balanced and mellow drinking experience. The finish was long with dark fruit and spice, yet a little drying on the palate, which should smooth out over time.
