July 17, 2023 - Good wine, and while I’ve gained something from cellaring it for much more than a decade it hasn’t been much.

Still dark, with some VA on the nose. At first I was struck by a sour character but this disappeared. Savoury characterful wine that carries its 15% alcohol easily.

    Not Rioja, not CNDP. Original

April 30, 2022 - Was this frozen? This tasted a third its age. Crazy.
Deep dark ruby red, no signs of age. Dark fruited, some garrigue on the nose, full bodied, some grip, medium plus acid. Drinking well, it just seem young.

February 16, 2020 - Black and red berries syrup, huge nose of licorice combined with mineral freshness and spices... Very concentrated ripe red berries, loads of silky and ripe tannin, delicious!!

May 11, 2019 - Blind Tasting...Wines That Don't Suck (House of Nanda - Chicago IL): Tasted double blind. I was so surprised when this was unveiled, given it was a wine I dodn't enjoy in its youth. Rich and very ripe, but the new oak has mostly integrated and the impressive concentration was impressive and almost everything in good harmony.

May 11, 2019 - Blind. I haven't had this wine in ~10 years and I'm quite impressed with how it's aged and is currently showing. Full nose that is pretty spot on for Grenache with red berries and roasted herbs. Good concentration of ripe, but well heeled fruit. Very good.
