December 10, 2019 - Acker BYO 2019 (Tribecal Grill): Very nice bubbles, nice aged nuances, still very fresh with fine acidity. 93-94
February 20, 2019 - Light bronze color and mild effervescence. Definitely a more advanced bottle with caramel notes, dried fruits, and hazelnut profile. No bruised apple profile though. The acidity is still there and this is just enough holding this together to be enjoyable. This did not change over the course of an hour.
January 28, 2019 - CC. Nutty, yeasty. Quite broad palate.
November 29, 2018 - From magnum. Light golden. Still persistent mousse. Complex melange of honey, nuts, nougat, brioche, a little caramel. Mature flavours, but tons of energy. The flavours really fanned out over the course of several hours. Exceptional!
September 2, 2018 - Beautiful wine acidity softly balance. Bouquet of fig apricot jam with Smokey notes. Christmas fruit with a hint of grapefruit lingering. Almost perfect. Timing was so good for a 50 bday party
January 5, 2018 - Etoge. Oxidixed, bitter.
July 7, 2017 - Holding up beautifully. Orange custard, melon, pie crust, a touch of savory - this seems to have it all. Not sure I would have/could have appreciated this as a young wine, but glad to have tried it now. If this is representative, it's got more in the tank. Pretty spectacular. Thru 2022? recommended
fill and cork in vg condition, enjoyed over 3 hours, and changed a lot during that time, i.e. lots of complexity.
April 22, 2017 - Poised and mature, displaying slightly more tension than expected, but also a touch less depth.
December 18, 2016 - Something off with this bottle. Good color and ample mousse, but a strange, almost dirty dishwater note overpowers everything else. Cellared well since release, so whatever went wrong here has had a while to do it.
December 17, 2016 - So close to perfection, which it really was. Deep nose, light honey color, palate cleansing, big mouthful, awesome, lasting on the palate.
