August 19, 2021 - No real notes except… giddy up. In a great spot with pitch perfect balance, giving immense pleasure.

May 15, 2020 - Gave this several hours in the decanter. Nose of barnyard, mushrooms and boysenberry - dark but slightly tart. Very earthy on the palate with bramble and notes of dusty strawberries. Lean, lightly acidic and very, very easy to drink. Great on night two as well. Exceeded my expectations once again.

December 31, 2018 - Medium garnet with a light lilac nose. Tart berry on the tongue with some woody tannins, a little residual sweetness to balance the tart red berries. A bit of strawberry, red currants and rhubarb to go with the smoky tannins and salad of forest greens.

January 1, 2016 - Elegant in style, with excellent purity and flavor concentration. Light to medium in body with a nice core of fresh red cherry fruit, so fresh that there are some green edges, though it only adds to the appeal for me. Also shows good medium persistence on the finale. This has really improved over the last year. I'm probably going to give my last bottle some extended cellar time to see how it evolves. Another five years should be no problem.

September 6, 2015 - same notes as before, but this time I just wasn't in the mood for drinking my pinot with a carcass of game in it.
