June 1, 2023 - Traditionally-styled Cornas that is just starting to enter its secondary development. Smoked meat, game, minerals, garrigue, leather and brambly berry fruit on the nose. High-toned core of blackberry and red plum fruit, with a bit of orchard fruit/tart peach to add complexity. Finishes tart, tarry and moderately tannic. Excellent now, with significant upside.

June 2, 2022 - 2nd bottle of 5, last consumed 2+ yrs ago. Developing nicely, the black and blue fruits show up with savory tones like bacon fat and green olives.
There is a spiciness and minerality that is alluring. The tannins give tension and grit, while the acidity supports the longish finish.
Drink this lovely Syrah through 2025+.

    February 25, 2020 - 1st of 5 bottles.
Inky blue/black in color, with a nose of iron, blood, red and black cherries, espresso, lifted by minty pepper.
Repeats on the palate, with finely grained tannins, great structure, built for food, showing refreshing acid and a medium length, red and black fruited finish...and a sanguine note.
    Delicious now through 2026+.

May 3, 2018 - Caveat, I think that I like this wine. Not much fruit, restrained bouquet, tannic but I can appreciate that that it might turn the corner and eventually blossom. The experience of this bottle was reminiscent of a Clape bottle back in the 80's or early 90's which marked me, and not in a good way. I bought Vincent Paris 15 & 16, so it is not a lost cause. My advice, keep this wine for 5 years, but today - not for me.
