January 29, 2024 - Experience tonight with a PnP was similar to FM III’s note from 6.5 years ago. Fruit forward (dark blue and black berry), evident mineral, leather, but low acidity (for Rhys), and integrated tannins. Aging very slowly. Enjoyable new world Syrah that supported dinner well enough, but better alone.

November 7, 2020 - Presumably a flawed bottle. Wine was flabby and flat, faint funk around the fruit. Hints of Syrah spice but overwhelmed by the weirdness of the rest of the wine. I suspect there was an issue with the cork as when I Corovined the bottle it pushed the cork part way out of the top of the bottle and it pushed back in very easily (below the flush surface of the bottle).

January 28, 2020 - Aromas of violets, blackcurrants, raspberries, aged beef, dry undergrowth. Dark dry fruit on the palate with a salty acid base moving into a sweet savory acid finish. Lovely with lamb chops and roasted cauliflower.

October 23, 2018 - Flowers, dark plum, meat on the nose. Dark fruit on the palate with bright acids on a tannic base and aromatic back notes. 50 + 16 + 17 + 8 = 91.

June 16, 2018 - Crusty floral nose with dark fruit and elements of pipe tobacco and allspice. Dense dry aromatic fruit on the palate, penetrating with underlying tannins and lovely acid bracing at the back. Beautifully balanced. 50 + 17 + 18 + 8 = 93.
