September 29, 2019 - In a perfect place. Great fruit, old world leather and herb and mineral complexity.

September 15, 2019 - At 11 years old, it is showing its age a bit on the edges, which is reflected in the well integrated flavors of this medium body BdM. Nicely layered flavors of cola, black cherry and leather with a cigar box finish -- well integrated and drinking well after just 20-30 minutes of air. Good QPR.

July 9, 2019 - Just as good as I remember. This wine really seems to hit its stride about 4 hours after decanting. Before that, it's just very good. But, everything really comes together nicely with a stern decant, so that it hits a high point of fruit, secondary flavors, and great texture (just right tannins and acidity). While it's my last bottle of this 2008, I have several of the 2010 and 2013 vintages, so I'm not entirely despondent. Good price, too, for a BdM of this quality.

July 6, 2019 - Decent Brunello. Took about an hour or two to open up. Developing some tertiary characteristics.

February 16, 2019 - Clean, well-made Brunello that drinks very well with minimal air and is priced reasonably. Not a profound wine, but a very good example from a less heralded vintage. Drink or hold up to 5 years.

January 31, 2019 - After a 3-hour decant: delicate cherry, tobacco, and leather, to the point of being faint. I expected more from this. It was good, but almost diaphanous.

January 25, 2019 - Lisini Brunello vertical tasting (Winicjatywa): clear ruby colour with tea refelxes; clear. nose: intense, dry; cinnamon. tobacco; violets plus some mineral notes. taste: medium (+) acidity; some sweet black cherries; very ripe tannins; sweter, very long finish. Quite light bodied, elegant, classic. Very lively.

    November 20, 2018 - Single blind tasting
Color ruby with some browning on the edge
Medium aromatics or ripe red fruit.
Medium acidity with medium - tannins. Palate of dull cherry.
    OK, but not memorable.

    November 20, 2018 - Tasted single blind
Medium ruby color with mild bricking. High amount of VA at first but this did linger. Medium aromas of muted red fruit with underlying cardboard aromas - not pleasant. Full palate of red/blue fruit with medium(+) tannin and medium(+) acidity. Not obviously a corked bottle but based on previous reviews I would guess that this was an off bottle.
