July 14, 2020 - Have had a few bottles of this vintage now and i can say there is a dramatic difference between a cool 2011 and more balanced 2010.

For my tastes, the 2010 is the clear favourite.
The 2011 has bitterness that is very distracting. It may be the longer lived wine, but at this phase, it doesn’t deliver for me.

    50%Carignan
    25%Grenache
    Remainder Syrah

June 28, 2020 - Mostly made up of very old vine Carignan with some Syrah and Grenache
Decanted and showing heavy sediment. Opaque and deeply staining dark garnet with purple-black hues.
The nose show intensity in aromas and the full abv. Scented with rock and mineral notes that give way to aromas of desecrated violets, potpourri and incense, graphite, black plum, fig and black currant with hints of pepper, spice and smoldering charcoal.
The palate reveals a wine that has come together and is in a harmonious spot. Fully resolved tannins balance with above moderate alcohol and acidity. Flavors of earth, sous bois, rock, graphite and brine weave into notes of violet extract, black fruits, spice and hints of smoke. The mineral laced finish lingers with firm tannins.
Definitely ready to go and no need to hold. Be sure to decant.

June 14, 2019 - Easy weeknight red. Plenty of action with no fuss. In a good drinking spot now but I don’t see much benefit in holding any longer.

January 28, 2019 - Deep red with fruit forward flavor of cherry and plum. Surprisingly good wine for the price
