August 12, 2019 - Ripe dark berries, coffee, herbs/spice. Some tannin, a little blocky. I just wish this had more acidic zing. B

May 18, 2019 - Half. Mid ruby to garnet at the rim. Lovely nose, dense, mid to full red
fruit with a touch of sous bois complexity. Dense fine velvet to silky texture. GC density and presence. A touch of cherry. Finishes well. Lovely. ****

October 25, 2018 - Dinner with Jacques Lardière at Table, Donkey and Stick (Chicago, IL): I had really, really loved this wine a few years ago when I had it at the same restaurant (albeit in the front of the room rather than the back), but I remember it being a bottle that truly spoke to me of Burgundy. Today's bottle, unfortunately, didn't leave as stark an impression -- I found it fairly ripe, and showing the signs of wear and tear that so many 1990s are starting to acquire (mostly in the form of a bit of muddiness). That said, this is still perfectly fine to drink, even if it is a touch old for my taste.

March 23, 2018 - Casual Friday Dinner with Friends (Booth One - Chicago, IL): A favorite Jadot bottling that needs loads of time to show it's stuff. This bottle was exceptional. Awesome aromatics of mature red cherries, earth tones with underlying spice/florals. Excellent concentration and textures throughout.
