July 27, 2020 - Tasted blind. This wine was pretty muted and closed at first. With time in the glass, some apple, citrus, and slight oxidative notes emerged. Quite acidic on the palate with lemon, citrus, green apples, and a hint of vanilla. Nice finish.

March 9, 2020 - Fantastic bottle of wine. Raw and exposed. Youthful and intense. I had multiple bottles and this was by far the best. So I would expect more variation. And I hope you get the bottle I got.

January 6, 2019 - I will start by saying his thing was very impressive. I will also say this wa super stinky. Reduced to all hell. But totally enjoyable powerful and the fruit underneath was fantastic.

November 1, 2018 - This bottle wasn't as funky as others seem to have experienced. Some reductive tones upfront, but nothing crazy. Mineral tones and slightly oily texture -- nice drink but probably pass at this tariff.

May 24, 2018 - Manresa (Los Gatos, Ca.): HUGE stank sulphur nose, more so then the last couple bottles I've had... really need to air out. Under the stank, there is some nice freshness of lemon, pitted orchard fruits, grapefruit...chalky saline minerals, caramel cream...yet doesn't have the well roundedness like Chardonnay...more sharp edges. Get past the stank nose, and it an ok for Aligote.
