August 25, 2022 - Splash decanted thru a screen because of possible metal from foil. Drank over next 2.5 hours. Opaque ruby/black. Medium plus mouthfeel. Dry and earthy, while still having large fruit. Earthy black cherry. Lots of spice. Hints of plum, strawberry and raspberry. Long finish holds the spice and the darker fruit. Was better — really good — with food (steak and baked potato).

August 23, 2021 - Splash decanted and drank immediately over next 2+ hours. Significant sediment on the bottle walls. Semi-translucent purplish ruby. Medium body. Long finish with interesting flavors. Cranberry, anise, blackberry, with other strong spice. Shit! A stray fruit fly got in. Ruined. You enjoy.
