  April 29, 2011 - It was nice to try this next to a Mt Eden form the 80's as we got a nice snapshot of the different regional characteristics. This showed sweet flavored red fruits with a touch of spice. The fruit is somewhat round and a bit more acidity would have made it more lively. Enjoyable though not much in the way of complexity. Very alive still but about 30 minutes of air started dragging away the best of it.

  May 16, 2009 - Dusty, musty, wet cardboard nose; at first I was concerned that it might be corked but if it was it blew off very quickly and fruit emerged from under the dust.
  sweet blackcurrant fruit with a medium length finish. Nice, but outclassed by the others. My #5, overall #4
