April 15, 2019 - Nose of ripe black fruits, prune, ripe, berry cobbler. High tannin, high acid, fruity, cedar, graphite.

April 14, 2019 - Drinking this one earlier than the recommended window, it was rather tannic and lacking balance/smoothness, but that may well mean I wasn’t patient enough!

March 29, 2019 - Fresh blackberry, pencil lead, tobacco, lavender? There is power here with grippy tannins will probably improve over the next 10 years. Missing that wow effect

July 9, 2018 - extremely disappointing. at first pop, sour tannic and almost undrinkable. aired and sloshed for 2-3 hours it became somewhat enjoyable and mildly interesting, but still tannic and less pleasing than a rioja at 1/3 the price. this is only recommended to a lover of the label who wants to sample its evolution, or hold it for several years.

i have enjoyed many bottles of this label in the past, for much less money and at much higher quality.

June 16, 2018 - Tasted next to the wonderful 2015, this is unsurprisingly a little more settled and evolved, at least on the nose. Good ripeness of fruit, hints of oak, spices, tobacco, decent complexity and depth. On the palate fresh, a bit thinner in terms of fruit concentration, ripe tannins, very good length. Still a bit tight, I would give this a couple of more years. 91-92+
