    September 17, 2023 - Pausing for the Cause Fundraiser and Dinner (Obelix - Chicago IL): Small glass. I've enjoyed some other Laurents from this era, but found this Bonnes Mares so new oak prominent and lacking real depth.

    April 10, 2022 - Animal, iron, wild berries, and perfume on the nose. Palate shows the vintage’s acid profile but it settles down with more air in the glass. Lovely sweetness, resolved oak and weightless.

    April 5, 2022 - From Mag after 6 hours double decanted. Came around but needed every hour to open up. Deep garnet color. Cherry and raspberry upfront with forest floor. Palate still showed 96 tannin and acidity though muted by 26 years. More fruit and earthiness with some spice and leather on back of palate. Long finish but a tad dry.

    May 9, 2019 - Perfume, herbs, and cherry fruit on the nose. For a bonnes mares, it was so delicate with some tart fruit but in a good way and minerals. Lots of stuffing. The Laurent oak was well integrated. It was so good. 93-94
